BKF M16A1 Dissipator 16″ Retro 5.56 NATO Rifle

Description

BKF M16A1 Dissipator 16 Inch Retro 5.56 Rifle

The BKF M16A1 Dissipator 16″ 5.56 NATO rifle is part of B. King’s Firearms’ Retro Series and is modeled after the historically significant Colt Model 605. Developed by Colt as one of the earliest attempts to create a compact M16-style carbine, the Model 605 featured a shortened barrel with a rifle-length sight radius and was produced in extremely limited numbers.

This modern interpretation retains the distinctive dissipator layout while improving function and reliability. The rifle features a 16″ chrome-lined 4150 chrome moly vanadium barrel with a 1:7 twist rate, pencil profile, and mid-length gas system utilizing a low-profile gas block concealed beneath the handguards. A non-F-marked front sight base with triangle handguard cap preserves correct retro appearance.

The slick-side M16A1 upper receiver is forged from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in black hardcoat anodizing, complete with A1 rear sight assembly and integrated carry handle. Each complete upper is headspaced and test-fired prior to shipping and is paired with a standard M16 bolt carrier group and billet charging handle.

A period-correct rifle-length A1 triangle stock and retro three-prong flash hider complete the classic profile, resulting in a faithful yet practical recreation of one of the most unusual early AR-pattern rifles.

BKF M16A1 Dissipator 16 Inch Retro 5.56 Rifle features forged 7075-T6 M16A1 receivers, a 16″ 1:7 twist chrome-lined 5.56 NATO dissipator barrel, mid-length gas system, slick-side upper, A1 sights, triangle stock, and retro 3-prong flash hider.
