Delaware has a handgun qualified purchaser permit requirement. Most Delaware residents purchasing a handgun must hold a valid permit or qualify for an applicable statutory exception. For example, a valid Delaware CCDW license can provide an exemption from the separate handgun purchaser permit requirement. The requirement does not eliminate applicable transfer paperwork or background-check rules.

We serve customers beyond Delaware, subject to federal, state and local laws. Interstate handgun transfers to non-licensees generally must be completed through an FFL in the buyer’s state of residence. Some in-person rifle or shotgun sales to nonresidents may be permitted when all applicable requirements are satisfied. Not as an ordinary consumer firearm order. Firearms ordered for an out-of-state customer are generally shipped to an appropriate receiving FFL, which handles the required identity verification, transfer forms and background check before release. Certain exceptions exist under law.

Some jurisdictions restrict direct-to-consumer ammunition shipments or require additional documentation or licensed-dealer involvement. Yes. Coastal Firearms provides FFL transfer services for eligible firearms. Before arranging shipment, please review our Delaware FFL transfer information and contact us to confirm acceptance, fees and any firearm-specific restrictions.

Our checkout may offer an integrated FFL locator. Select your preferred receiving dealer and confirm that dealer will accept the shipment, the firearm and any applicable fees. If your dealer is not listed, contact Coastal Firearms for assistance with license coordination.

Most eligible in-stock items are ordinarily processed within 1–3 business days, although distributor fulfillment, compliance checks, holidays, carrier restrictions and FFL coordination may increase processing time. We select an eligible carrier and service based on the item and destination. Depending on the shipment, carriers may include UPS, FedEx and USPS where their rules and applicable law allow. Not all carriers or services accept every product category.

Contact us before placing an international order. Some non-firearm items may be eligible for shipment to Canada after product, export, import, carrier and payment requirements are reviewed. Firearms are not offered for direct consumer shipment to Canada through our ordinary checkout. International shipping is not guaranteed.

For an eligible Canadian order, we will confirm the shipping quote and expected transit window before fulfillment. Customs clearance may add time. Import duties, taxes, brokerage charges and other government fees may also apply and are ordinarily the recipient’s responsibility unless agreed otherwise.

Absolutely. We offer beginner-friendly instruction focused on safety, confidence and responsible ownership. Some intermediate or advanced courses have prerequisites; check the course description or contact us before registering.

Training is led by qualified instructors, including our owner, a retired firefighter-paramedic and USCCA-certified firearms instructor. Instructor credentials and applicable course requirements can be confirmed before registration.

No. Completing an approved course may satisfy a training requirement, but permits or licenses are issued by the responsible government authority. Separate applications, eligibility checks, fingerprints, fees and other requirements may apply.
