We ship firearms, ammunition, and accessories via trusted carriers including UPS, FedEx, and USPS depending on item type, destination, and applicable federal or state regulations.

  • Firearms: Must be shipped to a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder.
  • Ammunition: May have state-specific restrictions and shipping requirements.
  • Accessories & Gear: Shipped directly to your address where permitted.

💵 Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight, size, destination of your order, and the warehouse location from which the product is shipped.

  • Expedited Shipping: Available for eligible items at an additional cost.

📦 Processing & Delivery Times

  • Processing Time: Orders typically process within 1–3 business days.
  • Firearms: Shipping occurs after a valid FFL is received.
  • Delivery Time: Varies by destination; tracking info will be provided upon shipment.

⚠️ Shipping Restrictions

States with Notable Restrictions on Firearms and Ammunition Shipments

While federal law mandates that firearms be shipped to a licensed Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder in the recipient’s state, several states have additional restrictions:

  • California: Requires firearms to be shipped to an FFL. Ammunition must also be shipped to an FFL unless the recipient has a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) and a valid FFL03 license.
  • Connecticut: Requires a valid Firearms Owner Identification (FOID) card for ammunition purchases.
  • Illinois: Requires a FOID card for ammunition purchases.
  • New Jersey: Requires a FOID card and state ID for ammunition purchases; direct-to-home ammunition shipments are generally prohibited.
  • New York: Ammunition must be shipped to a valid FFL.
  • Massachusetts: Requires a state-issued ID and FOID for ammunition shipments.
  • Washington, D.C.: Prohibits the sale of ammunition or projectiles.
  • Hawaii: Prohibits the sale of ammunition or projectiles.

You must verify the specific laws of your state before ordering firearms or ammunition.

📦 Shipping Firearms

Shipping firearms must adhere to federal laws:

  • To Individuals: Firearms can only be shipped to a licensed FFL holder in the recipient’s state.
  • To FFL Holders: The recipient’s FFL of choice must have their license sent to us or be already on file and verified before shipment.

We use a carrier that complies with federal regulations for shipping firearms.

🔒 FFL Transfers for Firearms

All firearms must be shipped to a licensed FFL dealer. After placing your order:

  1. Provide the FFL dealer’s information.
  2. Have your dealer email a signed copy of their license to: guy@coastalfirearmsllc.com
  3. We will not ship firearms until we receive and verify the FFL.
