The BKF M16A1 Colt Model 723 14.5″ retro rifle is part of B. King’s Firearms’ Retro Series, inspired by the legendary CAR-15–style rifles fielded by U.S. special operations forces. Most notably associated with MSG Gary Gordon during the Battle of Mogadishu—depicted in Black Hawk Down—the Colt Model 723 has become one of the most recognizable carbines in modern military history.

This rifle features a 14.5″ chrome-lined 4150 CMV barrel with a 1:7 twist rate and carbine-length gas system. To meet federal requirements, the barrel may be permanently pinned and welded to achieve a legal 16″ overall.

The M16A1 lower receiver is forged from U.S.-sourced 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in black anodizing with period-correct “Property of US Govt.” markings and A1-style selector engravings. The C7-style upper receiver includes an A2 forward assist and A1 rear sight assembly for authentic transitional-era styling.
