The BKF M16A2 14.5″ 5.56 NATO retro rifle is part of B. King’s Firearms’ Retro Series, combining period-correct M16A2 configuration with a distinctive Magpul FDE Cerakote finish. This build maintains the classic military profile of the M16A2 while offering enhanced durability and corrosion resistance through modern coatings.

At the heart of the rifle is a 14.5″ chrome-lined 4150 chrome moly vanadium barrel with a 1:7 twist rate and carbine-length gas system. An extended flash hider is permanently pinned and welded to achieve a legal barrel length exceeding 16 inches, allowing use on a standard lower receiver without NFA registration. The non-F-marked front sight base and A2 rear sight assembly preserve authentic M16A2 sighting characteristics.

The assembled upper and lower receivers are forged from U.S.-sourced 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in Magpul FDE Cerakote, featuring period-correct “Property of US Govt.” markings and A2-style selector engravings. Additional components include a chrome-lined phosphate M16 bolt carrier group with MPI/HPT testing, mil-spec fire control group, and standard carbine stock and grip with double heat shield handguards.
