Fausti BC500 Side-by-Side Shotgun – 12 Gauge, 28″ Barrels

The Fausti BC500 Side-by-Side Shotgun represents the tradition of Italian shotgun craftsmanship, combining elegant woodwork, intricate engraving, and a time-tested break-action design.

Originally marketed through Cabela’s, the BC500 offers a distinctive combination of classic styling and modern mechanical engineering.

This pre-owned 12-gauge example features 28-inch barrels, 3-inch chambers, attractive walnut furniture, and an engraved receiver. It is accompanied by choke tubes, a carrying case, and the owner’s manual.

Classic Italian Side-by-Side Craftsmanship

Manufactured by Fausti Stefano in Italy, the BC500 draws upon the traditional Anson & Deeley-style boxlock action, a design with roots dating back to the 19th century.

Fausti’s implementation incorporates leaf springs for hammer operation, with a mechanical layout designed to concentrate weight around the hinge pin and promote balanced handling.

The result is a traditional side-by-side sporting shotgun with refined engineering and classic styling.

Select Turkish Walnut Stock

The Fausti BC500 features carefully selected Turkish walnut with an oil finish that highlights the natural wood grain.

Notable features include:

• Select Turkish walnut stock and forearm
• Traditional oil-finished wood
• Fine laser-cut checkering
• Distinctive double-pattern grip checkering
• Rounded pistol grip
• Classic sporting stock profile

The attractive walnut furniture complements the engraved receiver and gives this shotgun the traditional appearance associated with fine Italian sporting firearms.

Engraved Receiver with Golden Pheasant Detail

The Fausti BC500 features a slender boxlock receiver with a decorative color case finish.

Ornamental scroll engraving and a golden pheasant design provide distinctive visual details that set the BC500 apart from many basic field shotguns.

The low-profile receiver contributes to the shotgun’s streamlined appearance while preserving the character of traditional European side-by-side designs.

Single Trigger and Automatic Ejectors

This model features a single-trigger arrangement and automatic ejectors.

The single trigger provides a familiar interface for shooters transitioning from other modern sporting shotguns, while the automatic ejectors are designed to eject fired shells when the action is opened.

The BC500 also incorporates an Anson & Deeley-style boxlock mechanism with leaf-spring-operated hammers.

Five Interchangeable Chokes Included

The Fausti BC500 is designed to accommodate interchangeable choke tubes, allowing compatible constrictions to be selected for different sporting applications.

Five choke tubes are included with this shotgun.

This versatility is attractive to upland bird hunters and recreational clay-target shooters.

Italian Proof Testing

According to the original Cabela’s product description, Fausti shotguns undergo high-pressure proof testing at the Italian National Proof House, with a stated test pressure of 1,320 bar.

The proof markings on the individual firearm should be consulted when determining the appropriate ammunition.
