The DS-15 Typhoon Complete 5.56 Upper 7.5″ is hand-assembled and individually tested by Dark Storm Industries in Rockledge, Florida. Built from aerospace-grade billet aluminum, this complete upper is designed for shooters who demand durability, precision, and reliability in ultra-compact AR-15 platforms.

At its core is a 7.5″ SOCOM-profile barrel manufactured from 4150 CMV steel and finished with a black nitride heat treatment for enhanced corrosion resistance and service life. The barrel features a 1:7 twist rate and pistol-length gas system to ensure reliable cycling with 5.56 NATO ammunition in short-barrel configurations.

The upper is equipped with a color-matched 6″ Typhoon handguard and DSI’s Firestorm compensator to help control muzzle rise. Partial ambidextrous controls—including an ambi charging handle and billet 90° safety selector—improve ergonomics without compromising strength. A DSI Mil+ bolt carrier group completes the system for smooth, consistent operation.

Available in multiple Cerakote and anodized finishes and backed by a fully transferable lifetime warranty, the DS-15 Typhoon 7.5″ upper is built for serious AR pistol and SBR applications.
