The DS-15 MFR Pistol (Modern Fighting Rifle) represents Dark Storm Industries’ uncompromising approach to building a true fighting firearm in a compact AR pistol format. Designed from the ground up with the shooter in mind, the MFR Pistol incorporates advanced features typically found on significantly higher-priced platforms while maintaining outstanding reliability and performance.

At the muzzle, the proprietary W.T.F. Flash Hider reduces visible muzzle flash by over 20 percent compared to a standard A2 flash hider. The rigid 6.5-inch free-float M-Lok handguard is engineered to minimize flex while providing a stable mounting platform for optics and accessories. A robust barrel nut doubles as a heat sink to improve thermal management, while Dark Storm’s Chainlink handguard-to-upper tether system and stainless indexing dowels eliminate any chance of movement.

The heart of the MFR Pistol is a 7.5-inch SOCOM-profile barrel machined from MIL-Spec 4150 CMV steel and treated with a black nitride finish for durability and corrosion resistance. Chambered in either 5.56 NATO or .300 Blackout, the barrel is button-rifled and optimized for reliable performance in a compact configuration.

Forged 7075 aluminum upper and lower receivers feature full ambidextrous controls, including ambi bolt catch and release and ambi magazine release. The premium two-stage trigger delivers a crisp 4.5-pound pull with a short reset. An advanced dual-ejector bolt carrier group finished with ArmorLube nitride/DLC coating dramatically reduces friction and wear, ensuring smooth operation under sustained use.

The MFR Pistol is equipped with an SB Tactical SBA3 adjustable brace mounted to a mil-spec buffer tube with SOCOM drain holes and triple rear venting. Finished in Type III hardcoat anodizing and Cerakote Gen 2 IR signature reduction coating, the DS-15 MFR Pistol is built for real-world durability and low signature performance.

Each firearm is hand-assembled and individually tested in Rockledge, Florida, using American-made components and materials.
