Complete two Delaware training goals in one streamlined course.

The Delaware Permit to Purchase and Concealed Carry Course is designed for students who want to complete Delaware Permit to Purchase training and Delaware Concealed Carry / CCDW preparation in one combined course.

This class is ideal for Delaware residents who want a clear, responsible path toward firearm ownership, safe handling, legal awareness, and concealed carry readiness.

Two Certificates Included

Successful students receive two separate certificates upon completion of all required classroom and range training:

Delaware Permit to Purchase Training Certificate

Delaware Concealed Carry / CCDW Training Certificate

This combined format allows students to complete both training components without having to register for two separate classes.

Course Format & Range Session

This course includes both a classroom session and a required live-fire range session.

The date selected during registration is the classroom session. The live-fire range portion of the course is normally conducted on the following Sunday.

If you are unable to attend the range session on the following Sunday, you may attend the next scheduled Coastal Firearms range session.

Students must successfully complete both the classroom and range portions of the course before receiving their course completion certificates.

What to Bring to the Range

Students should bring the following equipment for the live-fire portion of the course:

• A safe, functioning handgun
• Eye protection
• Hearing protection
• 100 or more rounds of ammunition appropriate for the handgun being used

Do not have a handgun? No problem. A handgun can be provided for you to use during the course.

Do not have eye or ear protection? Coastal Firearms can provide eye and hearing protection for your range session.

Ammunition is not included with the course. Every student must purchase or otherwise provide at least 100 rounds of the appropriate ammunition for the handgun being used during the range session.

If you will be using a handgun supplied by Coastal Firearms, please contact us before your range session so we can confirm the appropriate ammunition you will need to purchase.

Course Overview

This course brings together the core elements of Delaware firearm ownership training and concealed carry preparation.

Students will review safe firearm handling, responsible ownership, storage considerations, concealed carry responsibilities, defensive mindset, situational awareness, and important legal considerations for Delaware firearm owners and concealed carry students.

The classroom portion establishes the knowledge and safety foundation, while the live-fire range session provides students with an opportunity to demonstrate safe firearm handling and complete the required shooting portion of the course.

The goal is to help students leave with a stronger understanding of firearm safety, responsible ownership, concealed carry responsibilities, and the next steps involved in Delaware firearm ownership and concealed carry preparation.

Important Course Notes

Students must follow all classroom and range safety rules at all times.

The registration date selected is the classroom session date. The range session is normally held on the following Sunday. Students who cannot attend that Sunday may attend the next scheduled range session.

Students should bring a handgun, eye protection, hearing protection, and at least 100 rounds of ammunition to the range. A handgun and eye/hearing protection can be provided if needed; however, students are responsible for purchasing at least 100 rounds of the appropriate ammunition.

Final course eligibility, documentation requirements, range requirements, legal requirements, class size, equipment requirements, and completion standards are determined by Coastal Firearms.
