The Dark Storm Industries DS-15 Variant 1 Pistol provides high-performance AR-platform capability in a compact format designed for versatility and control. Manufactured by Dark Storm Industries, this pistol combines competition-grade engineering with combat-ready reliability and a distinctive Tungsten Cerakote finish featuring Ed Earle’s detail-rich design.

Built on a precision-matched billet receiver set machined from U.S.-produced 7075-T651 aluminum, the platform is finished with Cerakote H-Series over mil-spec Type III Class 2 hardcoat anodizing for durability. Partial ambidextrous controls—including a DSI ambidextrous charging handle and billet ambidextrous 90-degree safety selector—pair with a premium two-stage trigger rated at 4.5 pounds for controlled, repeatable operation.

A compact 6-inch M-LOK handguard provides flexible accessory mounting, while the 7.5-inch SOCOM-profile barrel machined from 4150 CMV steel minimizes overall length. The barrel features a 1:7 twist rate and pistol-length gas system, finished with black nitride heat treatment for longevity.
