The Dark Storm Industries DS-15 Variant 1 NJ Post Ban Rifle is purpose-built to comply with New Jersey’s post-ban firearm regulations while delivering competition-grade performance and combat-ready reliability. Manufactured by Dark Storm Industries, this rifle combines premium materials, thoughtful engineering, and a distinctive Tungsten Cerakote finish.

At the foundation is a precision-matched billet receiver set machined from U.S.-produced 7075-T651 aluminum, finished with Cerakote H-Series over mil-spec Type III Class 2 hardcoat anodizing. Partial ambidextrous controls include a DSI ambidextrous charging handle and billet ambidextrous 90-degree safety selector, paired with a premium two-stage trigger offering a crisp 4.5-pound pull.

The rifle features a 16-inch SOCOM-profile barrel machined from 4150 CMV steel with a black nitride finish for durability and corrosion resistance. A mid-length gas system promotes smooth cycling, while the DSI Firestorm compensator is pinned and welded to ensure a non-threaded muzzle configuration compliant with New Jersey law. An extended 13-inch M-LOK handguard provides a rigid mounting platform for optics and accessories.

Additional enhancements include the DSI Mil+ bolt carrier group with upgraded materials and finishes for extended service life, and the Mil+ carbine buffer system with a neoprene-dampened buffer for improved recoil management.
