The DS-15 Mil-Plus Bolt Carrier Group is a premium AR-15 BCG designed to meet Mil-Spec requirements while incorporating key engineering upgrades to improve durability and service life. Manufactured in-house at Dark Storm Industries’ aerospace machine shop in Rockledge, Florida, each component is produced using U.S.-sourced aircraft-quality materials and inspected across more than 100 quality-control points—not batch sampling.

The bolt features Mil-Plus enhanced geometry, including increased lug radius and reinforced cam-pin body diameter. These refinements reduce stress concentrations at the most common failure points, delivering up to a 50% increase in bolt life while remaining fully compatible with standard Mil-Spec carriers and barrel extensions.

Unlike many commercial BCGs, the DS-15 Mil-Plus strictly adheres to true Mil-Spec finishing standards, utilizing manganese phosphate and hard chrome where required. Nitriding is intentionally avoided, as it is prohibited under Mil-Spec for these components. Each bolt carrier group is lot-numbered for full traceability of materials, machining, heat treatment, and finish.
