At Coastal Firearms, we are committed to safe, legal, and timely delivery of firearms, ammunition, and accessories. Our shipping procedures comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.

Firearm Shipping (FFL Required)

All firearms must be shipped to a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer. We do not ship firearms directly to customers unless they hold an FFL.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Customer selects an FFL at checkout
  2. We verify the FFL’s license and ensure they accept transfers
  3. Firearms are shipped securely to the selected FFL
  4. Customer completes the NICS background check and transfer at the receiving dealer

Note: Firearms will not ship until the receiving FFL has provided a valid license and accepted the transfer.

State Restrictions

Due to local laws, we do not ship firearms, ammunition, or restricted items to:

  • California (without additional compliance steps)
  • New York City
  • Washington D.C.
  • Illinois (Cook County and others – restrictions apply)
  • New Jersey (certain items)
  • Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Hawaii (specific restrictions apply)

Please check your local laws before ordering. We reserve the right to cancel orders that violate shipping or legal restrictions.

Shipping Times

  • Processing Time: 1–3 business days for in-stock items
  • Firearms: Ship after FFL verification (usually 2–5 business days)
  • Accessories/Ammunition: Ship via UPS, FedEx, or USPS (where legal)

Shipping times may vary based on carrier delays, high volume, or legal review.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on:

  • Weight and dimensions of your order
  • Delivery location
  • Required carrier service (e.g., UPS Ground for ammo)

Order Holds & Cancellations

  • Orders awaiting FFL information for more than 7 days may be canceled
  • A 15% restocking fee may apply to canceled firearm orders
  • Customer is responsible for verifying legal compliance before ordering

Ammo Shipping Policy

  • Must be 21 years old to purchase handgun or rifle ammunition
  • Signature may be required on delivery
  • No shipments to restricted states or cities
